N59932 (cn 31-7552046) Seen unloading passengers from BWD (Brownwood) to DFW flight connecting to Braniff International. Eagle Airlines share ramp with Rio Airways. Sadly, W/O March 21, 1980 at HOU with Eagle Commuter Airlines as N59932, routing HOU-BWD. Shortly after take-off pilot informed tower he lost engine number 2. Aircraft crashed on concrete parking ramp hitting two aircraft, four parked cars, an aircraft hangar, and was destroyed by impact and post crash fire with at least 7 fatalities - r.i.p. |
