OV-101 (cn OV-101) [Canon 7D + Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8 L] The NASA Space Shuttle Enterprise being transported through the Rockaway Inlet, on its journey to the Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum in New York City. The large crowds, which packed the entire route can be seen along the beach, and further out lies the Atlantic Ocean. Also clearly visible is the damage sustained to the right wingtip, when the shuttle scraped against a wood piling earlier in the trip. |

J-5011 (cn 1351/SFC011) An F/A-18C of the Swiss Air Force ''Fliegerstaffel 11'' taxies over a bridge wich crosses the stream at the bottom of the Oltschibach Falls. The bridges railings are lowered to get some wing clearance. The aircraft are kept in the mountains at this airbase and when they come out they taxi a long taxiway to the runway. The path where the photo was taken from is a public footpath ("Wanderweg'') and crosses the taxiway. The same gravelpath is visible behind the nose of the Hornet. ...Only in Switzerland! |
