N509UA (cn 24763/284) With LH 744 D-ABVE. The two planes appear to be touching! The 757 is on final for 28L while the 747 is for 28R. The runways are 750 ft apart, so there is still plenty of room between them. Incidentally, Lufthansa 455 is seen here returning to SFO due to an oil leak and eventual shutdown of the number 2 engine. Note rudder is deflected to the right compensating for the failed engine on the left side. |

N323UA (cn 23955/1550) Landing with company 767. Which one is closer? *I've seen several debates regarding the authenticity of this photo. If you have any doubts, go to SFO on a VFR day and you're sure to see it happen several times during the course of the day. |

N645UA (cn 25280/391) All the States inbound flights arrive in the early morning, and they depart late at night. Those planes stay at the Chivatos parking apron from 10 am until 7 pm, waiting for their return flights back home. American operates 4 daily flights from DFW, JFK and MIA. United flies from IAD and ORD daily, and Delta does it daily from ATL. [Olympus C-740] |

N107UA (cn 26900/1168) Flight UA840 with 246 passengers to Los Angeles and New York returned to Sydney - making an emergency landing on Rwy 34L. From there, the aircraft was isolated and searched due to a note being found in the plane's toilet suggesting a bomb was onboard. Some flights were also diverted away from Sydney. Thanks to Sam and Shep for their info and assistance! |

N534UA (cn 25129/372) I always thought this spot would make a nice shot so I went to it that day just hoping there would be 3 or 4 aircraft for a lineup. I couldn't dream this scene up any better. As this 752 turns onto the active of RW25 there are around 40 aircraft lined up behind it. How would you like to be No.40 in line? |

N174UA / 8474 (cn 24381/762) Talk about rare air in ATL! This 747 diverted to ATL on a ferry flight with an engine failure. After spending the night here, UAL took the aircraft off to an unknown destination for repairs. Note the rudder fully to the side, this is because it was leaving with only three engines running! |
