J2-KCV (cn 21938/436) [Canon 5D Mark III + Canon EF 16-35mm f/2.8 L II USM] Rare look inside a classic jumbo in the process of being scrapped. It was delivered to Singapore Airlines in 1980, and subsequently served around the world, including stints with Aerolineas Argentinas, Korean Air, and Air Plus Comet. Here, the upper deck has been stripped of parts (not to mention a chunk of wall), some of which will end up as museum pieces. Sadly, this aircraft met its final demise in late April 2013. |

N811AD (cn 22197/8) If you can guess the airline by this color scheme, you might be a spotter! This is one of the very oldest 757s, the 8th one to come off the assembly line, delivered to Eastern Airlines on 12/28/1982. |

1716 (cn 1526) On a transfer flight from South Africa to UK on 13.07.1994 both starboard engines failed and the pilot made a belly landing in the darkness of the night, 80km west of Fderik. All 19 on board survived. Was operated by the South African Air Force Museum. |

PH-KCH / CH-008 (cn 48562/591) Two great ex-KLM tri-holers seen sitting in a corner of Victorville, awaiting their fate as scrap-metal while already being stripped down to pieces for spare parts. The tail and winglet visible to the left belongs to PH-KCI while -KCH has no winglets, doors or engines left. Sad to see these gorgeous jets disappearing so fast. |

N793DH (cn 21393/1307) Kingman: where old B727s come to die. Scattered around this otherwise quiet airfield are tumbleweeds and rows and rows of retired airliners awaiting their fate. |

PP-BEL (cn 46047/447) The BETA DC-8 and the TAF Boeing 727 on the bottom left are the latest additions to the GRU "cemetery". Sad picture to see these great planes there. Maybe some day they will revive. |
