054 BLUE Newest (the fourth) fifth-generation fighter came from Komsomolsk-on-Amur to take part in flight test program. Plane have some differences compared to previous prototypes. Most visible of all - there is no Pitot tube. What an experience was to feel turbulence wake after this bird passed over. New view for this plane. VH-AUZ / A17-159 (cn DHA160) After many attempts at trying to do gain this effect, I had moderate success with this one time where I exposed the stars above this beautifully restored Tiger Moth on Hindmarsh Island for a mere 20 minutes. Note the visibility of those celestial clouds and the Milky Way. Shortly there after those dreaded clouds came from nowhere to cease all further attempts during the same night. But alas, I don't give up that easily. Watch this space for the next attempt. |

RA-11025 (cn 6344103) Flight route Moscow (VKO) - Murmansk (MMK) - Longyear (LYR). Just some minutes after take off from Murmansk I got a great opportunity to take a nice picture of a illuminated An-12 cockpit. Actually all green scalar indicators haven't got a backlighting inside. All of them have a phosphorus inside. And it shines under the special lamps (on the top of a indicators panel). Amazing feeling to fly this 46-years old plane that still on duty! Many thanks to crew! Dedicated to my 5D mkII crashed a day after. |

VH-OQJ (cn 062) The world's first dual A380 flyover happened today in Sydney. Flying in close formation, this occasion marked the official start of a historic partnership between Qantas Airways and Emirates. The flyover was done under a special call sign "Seismic", as Tim Clark says the EK-QF partnership had caused seismic shift in the global aviation. Interestingly, Delta-Yankee disappeared from the radar after takeoff - was the TCAS system switched off? I quite like how the two prominent tails aligns one another. |
