A6-EDG (cn 023) With reverse thrust deployed, water from the runway surface is kicked up in dramatic style, as this A380 slows following arrival from Dubai. Runway 23R has recently been resurfaced, and apparently is no longer grooved, drainage being achieved by standing water being absorbed by the new porous material. As a result, water stays longer on the runway surface. |

Several planes were cleared to takeoff in front of the A380, and the field darkened from the low angle of the sun. F-HPJE was finally cleared to takeoff as the sun hit the horizon, and caught a nice glow as it banked towards the West/Northwest. |

Yes indeed! Badged with the fictional Hollywood registration N88892, it will be used in a James Bond film. For the Bond film, the two outer engines have been replaced with outboard wing tanks, while the inner engines have been replaced with mocked-up dual pylon-mounted engine pods under each wing near similar to those initially on the Boeing B-47 Stratojet. |
