054 BLUE Newest (the fourth) fifth-generation fighter came from Komsomolsk-on-Amur to take part in flight test program. Plane have some differences compared to previous prototypes. Most visible of all - there is no Pitot tube. What an experience was to feel turbulence wake after this bird passed over. New view for this plane. 3-6049 / 160347 (cn H-49) First photo of first F-14AM ("Modernized"). IRIAF`s experts modernized this bird during its overhaul. Modernization program is covering structure life-extention, avionics and armament upgrade. Hundreds of hours were spent on upgrading this 37 years old interceptor. It was painted in edged three tone Asian Minor II camo pattern. Two new AA missiles has adapted with its fire control system, R-73E, AIM-54A+ "Fakkur", AIM-54A, AIM-7E-4 and AIM-9J. |

N968DL (cn 53161/1808) DL 1859 to DTW is taking off from Logan's runway 9 on a gloomy, foggy evening. Periodic snow and rain showers resulted in a high degree of condensation which turned the lights of all the planes into light beams. The position of the wing and the lights on the MD-88 almost make it look like an X-Wing firing its lasers! Crazy day. Never seen anything like that before.
