G-OJMR (cn 605) I was trying this for some years but the right conditions were never combined before, there are too many factors out of control, sun setting lined up with the runway center line (there are only two days per year when the sun sets in that position), sun not covered by clouds, aircraft landing at the right time, rather a widebody. I can only imagine the view those pilots were having up there. |

G-VFOX (cn 449) 5 for the price of one! This is why I get up early to go to LHR. Virgin A346 is followed by a Saudi 772, BA 744 and a Virgin A343. Add that to the crossing traffic and the fact the sun hasn't even got above the horizon yet, it was a good day. (Nikon D3 + 200-400mm) |
