A 2nd photo I must share with you taken by my father duringWW II. From books that I have read, this aricraft was apparently the world's first jet bomber. First appeared in 1943 and was intended to fill a Luftwaffe requirement for a high speed recon A/C - 1st flight was June 15,1943. 1st recon flight was late 1944 and bombing duties followed on Xmas eve 1944.

(cn 1301643) Technik Museum Sinsheim. This rare Stuka crashed near Saint-Tropez in 1944 and was raised from the seabed in 1989. The museum will display it in this state and has no plans to restore it. [Nikon D700, AF-S Nikkor 70-200mm f/2.8G ED VR II lens]
