57-6477 (cn 464182) Seeing these gigantic birds through my childhood (McCoy AFB, FL) to adulthood and beyond, this is the way I like to remember her: the full effect of her size and majesty as seen passing overhead, the multi-color camouflage, and the avalanche of sound, which can only be imagined if you never saw a B-52G in flight (the still-flying -H model is quieter). This 416th Bomb. Wing, 668 B.S. BUFF shows change in c/s with temporarily darkened reflective surfaces prior to a darker c/s; light radome is notable. |
