D-AIQN (cn 269) LH855 from HEL to FRA on "Laupheim", seat 22F. Classic early morning approach towards FRA from the east but with two twists! First, we're closer to the city due to the location of the new runway (25R). Second, it's not every day you see the famous Frankfurt skyline peeking through low fog. VQ-BLA (cn 5215) This lovely G550 is seen rocketing out of Samedan's runway 21 just as the sun fades away to the West and makes us freeze a little more due to some harsh winds this afternoon. The last rays give the fuselage a nice orange hue as the jet climbs away from the Engadine valley and out over the mountain tops, before heading North towards the UK. |
