054 BLUE Newest (the fourth) fifth-generation fighter came from Komsomolsk-on-Amur to take part in flight test program. Plane have some differences compared to previous prototypes. Most visible of all - there is no Pitot tube. What an experience was to feel turbulence wake after this bird passed over. New view for this plane. Sometimes we call it "Shovel", now you understand why [5d mkII + EF 24-105] |

RA-11025 (cn 6344103) Flight route Moscow (VKO) - Murmansk (MMK) - Longyear (LYR). Just some minutes after take off from Murmansk I got a great opportunity to take a nice picture of a illuminated An-12 cockpit. Actually all green scalar indicators haven't got a backlighting inside. All of them have a phosphorus inside. And it shines under the special lamps (on the top of a indicators panel). Amazing feeling to fly this 46-years old plane that still on duty! Many thanks to crew! Dedicated to my 5D mkII crashed a day after. |

Periodic snow and rain showers resulted in a high degree of condensation which turned the lights of all the planes into light beams. HL7614 (cn 068) It was a beautiful late winter morning and KE-17 was running about 30 minutes early today. From this great vantage point (corner triangle of Lincoln & Sepulveda) the jets pass about 200ft (60M) right above you, about 8 seconds from TD on 24R. The sound is an experience in its own. Overwhelming, but in a good way, and never to the point that it hurt my ears. Something I think everyone should experience sooner… or later. Local time 8:26 PST. |
