N859WP (cn 28652/938) A Janet B737-600 throttles back as it prepares for a greaser on runway 25L at dusk, completing a flight from Area 51 or some other place. This B736 was delivered to China Southwest Airlines as B-2160 and was subsequently painted into the Air China livery in 2004 after the big Chinese airline merger. It's not common to see these "B737SPs" and given the somewhat challenging conditions, I was quite pleased with the result! |

Obviously the pilot trusts her to make such a low approach scaring Paul, my brother-in-law (permission granted), enough to cause him to duck out of fear he would be struck by one of the props. |

This 737-700 hovered at around 50 feet to the end of the runway before blasting upwards over Maho Beach. In this photo, you can see the landing gear is almost completely stowed very low to the ground, and the runway piano keys are reflecting off the belly of the aircraft. |
