VH-VQK (cn 2651) Off the south coast of Borneo flying through high cloud associated with distant storm cells our A320 truly becomes an electric jet. Amazing display of static electricity flowing through our jet in relatively smooth air makes for an amazing sight and luckily had me gear along. EOS1DMK3 14/2.8 II |

CS-TKN (cn 624) This month of November had been really good for us spotters, with so many different things coming by!! Not being a different A/C, this one deserved some attention... These pilots were caught in some wind shear, and it was really close to total disaster, since the wing almost touched the ground! You can also see the stress in main landing gear... At that time, there were gusts up to 44 knots of crosswind, and heavy turbulence was reported! I'm glad that everything ended up well.. [Canon 40D + Sigma 120-400 |

9M-MRI (cn 28416/155) About 10 seconds after liftoff from runway 19R something happens with the left engine. Alot of smoke and fragments of metal and other material falls down on the runway. At first the pilots don't get any indications in the cockpit and plan to go on to Kuala Lumpur. Then we decide to call Arlanda duty officer to make sure that they have noticed the pieces from the engine on the runway. Shortly after that the pilots requests fueldump and return to ARN safely. N524VA (cn 3204) Qantas 747-400 (VH-OEI) is seen going around, climbing past us in the A319. We were performing a parallel ("side-by") approach to Runway 28 in San Francisco (SFO) when apparently the heavy couldn't stay behind us and had to go around. It was the most spectacular thing I have ever seen from inside an airplane! |

G-BYGE (cn 28858/1198) Ground Engineers walk along with the push-back crew of SpeedBird 118 to Heathrow. The noise of her Rolls-Royce RB211-524Hs will very shortly drown-out the loud Tug which, perhaps would prompt the two push-back guys on the left to utilise their Earplug Headsets. |

G-APEK (cn 714) It's August, 1964 and it looks like evey seat is occupied on this 85-minute flight from LHR to GLA. BEA's 135-passenger 953s were all Y configured and this mid-cabin seated 77. A view out of the big 26 by 19 inch windows revealed red painted wings. Listen carefully, maybe you can even hear the Beatles singing "A Hard Day's Night" over the thrum of those big 17-foot props. |

VH-EBQ (cn 1198) For me it's difficult to sleep during a flight.. So, instead I was stargazing and noticed the milky way band out of my window as we were passing Australia en route Auckland. Notice how the slats reflect off some stars. It's absolutely beautiful and I'm glad i didn't sleep! By the way this A332 frame is brand spanking new (manufactured in Feb. 2011)[Nikon D3s; Nikon 14-24mm f/2.8; ISO 12,800; 5-second exposure] |
