Remark

CS-TKN (cn 624) This month of November had been really good for us spotters, with so many different things coming by!! Not being a different A/C, this one deserved some attention... These pilots were caught in some wind shear, and it was really close to total disaster, since the wing almost touched the ground! You can also see the stress in main landing gear... At that time, there were gusts up to 44 knots of crosswind, and heavy turbulence was reported! I'm glad that everything ended up well.. [Canon 40D + Sigma 120-400

HS-TGW (cn 27724/1111) Landing just over the beach and threshold of Runway 09. Photo taken from Phuket ATC tower. Please excuse the minor heat haze due to long telephoto but you get to see some exceptional views from there. Update: Phuket just got hit by a Tsunami, my thoughts goes to the victim and all the staff at the airport. I am sure Phuket will recover! [Nikon D100, Nikkor AF-S 300mm f2.8 II + 2 x converter]

JA8081 (cn 25064/851) I've seen the Space Shuttle take-off and I've seen plenty of topless women in SXM but nothing comes close to a 747 coming directly in your direction just a few hundred feet below you! This was really amazing. It's a real air-to-air picture, no discussions please!

Boeing 777-2H6/ER
Stockholm - Arlanda (ARN / ESSA)
Sweden, November 3, 2006
Remark
Photographer
9M-MRI (cn 28416/155) About 10 seconds after liftoff from runway 19R something happens with the left engine. Alot of smoke and fragments of metal and other material falls down on the runway. At first the pilots don't get any indications in the cockpit and plan to go on to Kuala Lumpur. Then we decide to call Arlanda duty officer to make sure that they have noticed the pieces from the engine on the runway. Shortly after that the pilots requests fueldump and return to ARN safely. Remark
Photographer
166611 / AA-320 (cn F104) The Super Hornet approaches the sound barrier. Due to the high humidity at Oceana the effect of the Prantl-Glauert cloud becomes clearly visible. This is a shockwave where the section with the clowd has low pressure, the above section is of high air pressure.
