OD-AFY (cn 19108/511) This aircraft was written off in Amsterdam in 1993 when during the push back for departure the support beam of the starboard maingear broke. It actually deformed the upper side of the wing aswell. Because of the serious structural damage the plane was broken up on the same apron where it was departing from. I still wonder what would have happened if this plane had made it to the runway. |

EI-CKQ (cn 22906/888) This is one of four grounded Ryanair 737-200's at Prestwick due to scratching of the fuselage that was discovered during maintenance checks. This one was parked outside the new Ryanair Maintenance facility at Prestwick and you can see pronounced lines on the fuselage in this shot. (D60 ISO 100 1/750th @ F8) |

EI-CKR (cn 22025/647) A pair of Ryanair 737-200s, retired twelve months ago and broken up at Glasgow-Prestwick. Somewhat bizzarely these rather large bits were trucked 500 miles from Prestwick to Bournemouth. Several more are due to make the long road journey south. Behind EI-CKR is EI-CKQ. |
