PH-KCH / CH-008 (cn 48562/591) Two great ex-KLM tri-holers seen sitting in a corner of Victorville, awaiting their fate as scrap-metal while already being stripped down to pieces for spare parts. The tail and winglet visible to the left belongs to PH-KCI while -KCH has no winglets, doors or engines left. Sad to see these gorgeous jets disappearing so fast. |

PR-SUL (cn 129) Riding along a back road on Aruba I stumbled upon this carcas sitting in someone's yard. I questioned some friends and learned it did a wheels up crash landing on Feb. 13, 2005. Crew and Passengers made it out safely, but the aircraft was written off. From what I was told she was moved to someone's home with the intention of seeing up a school of some type. Not sure how succesful that was. |

N747PA (cn 19639/2) "Juan T. Trippe", the second B747 in Boeing production line and the first B747 delivered to airline(Pan Am) is spending her rest life in Korea. She has been moved to here(east surbub of Seoul) in Jul.'00 and used as restaurant but it was closed and neglected for long time. So sadly its state is very bad...Wings are removed by Korean construction law and only fuselage is preserved with fake engines and wings. No. 2 engine intake is covered with food menu. |

G-AXLR (cn 829) 'XLR had been diverted from the RAF batch to Rolls Royce for use as a flying test bed for the RB211 in the late 'sixties & early 'seventies. (The 211 was mounted on the left side.) The aircraft was consigned to the scrap compound at 'A’ Site, 5MU, RAF Kemble in about 1977 and lay there derelict, as shown here, for a number of years, and there were rumours that it was used for training by the special forces. This picture was taken in 1982. |

G-APFL (cn 17713/169) This ex-British airtours 707 has been flying around with the Ugandan registration 5X-CAU. When the aircraft was overpainted in the national colours its Ugandan regi completely disappeared, only the British regi is slightly visible under its port wing. Before this location was an open field, but since a few years it has changed into 'Aero Beach', inclusive of playground facilities, a bar, a buffet and a sand beach. |

9L-LDJ (cn 242) One of the four 1-11s scrapped which have been stored outside Medavia/NCA facility for several years pending a possible sale which has unfortunately come to nothing as the market has completely evaporated for these elderly airframes. Last operated using registration G-OBWE by British World Airlines in 2000 in an "all white" colour. Entered the facility 14Jun02 having been flown from Southend. Seen inside the airfield after being moved across to the grass next to Park 4 on 28Dec05. * BMA titles traceable! |
