J-5011 (cn 1351/SFC011) An F/A-18C of the Swiss Air Force ''Fliegerstaffel 11'' taxies over a bridge wich crosses the stream at the bottom of the Oltschibach Falls. The bridges railings are lowered to get some wing clearance. The aircraft are kept in the mountains at this airbase and when they come out they taxi a long taxiway to the runway. The path where the photo was taken from is a public footpath ("Wanderweg'') and crosses the taxiway. The same gravelpath is visible behind the nose of the Hornet. ...Only in Switzerland! |

On one of my last days in the Torres Strait we decided to take a trip to Warraber for a look. After asking the pilot if I could get an aerial shot, he came up with this position, which was pretty good. Runways 12-30, 720 metres in length. |
