PH-BFG / FG-003 (cn 24517/782) The "City of Guayaquil" is seen a hundred feet above the world famous Maho Beach and the sparkling clear waters of Sunset Bay chasing its shadow to the runway. This place takes photography to a whole new level when you can literally go for a swim or sip on a bottle of Carib while waiting for an aircraft. It's quite obvious that I was not the only one with a camera around here, but this young woman certainly appreciated being part of the photograph more than I would have. |

A6-ERP (cn 185) Looks like an architect's scale model down there! I had this stunning overview of Sheikh Zayed Road and Downtown Dubai, with the Burj Khalifa easily dwarfing everything else in sight. Also visible: the Dubai Mall (the world's largest shopping mall by area - to the right of the Burj Khalifa), the Dubai Fountain (in the artificial lake at the bottom of the Burj Khalifa), the Emirates Towers and Sharjah in the distance. I hope you enjoy this view as much as I did! [Canon EOS 40D + Sigma 17-70mm f/2.8-4.5 DC IF Macro] |

AP-BHP (cn 665) Overview of Gilgit airport, situated at 4,900 feet above sea level in Northern Pakistan. The airport is famous for its visual scenic approach. Currently only PIA ATR-42 and Air Force C-130 serve the airport regularly. Please enjoy a moment of the calm scenery from my picture. The new terminal and tower on the right hand side of the photo is due to open in Jan 2013. [Nikon D300] |

IN320 / N393DS (cn 40610/3702) India’s first P-8I Neptune coming in hot carrying mock AGM-84D harpoons just seconds before sunset. Easily the fiercest looking 737 I’ve ever seen. |

JA714A (cn 28276/523) I keep doing photography because there might be very few chances to see a view like this. A huge rainbow appeared over Tokyo Bay at the early Saturday evening after the morning storm. An aircraft is huge indeed, but it is no match for the hugeness of the nature. F-WWAU (cn 112) Looking down on Airbus' A380 Flightline at Toulouse, it's quite clear who the largest A380 customer is, despite them already having a large number in active service. Note on the far left the second-last airframe for Singapore Airlines, now not far from completing their order. Thai Airways' 2nd A380 can also be seen. |
