CS-XAP (cn 28) Is there a better way to return home after spending the weekend in an aviation safety forum in central Portugal than flying in formation for some sunset pictures?... In the back there's Tagus River and it's last two corners before reaching Lisbon, where it meets with the Atlantic Ocean. |

Nightlife at RWY 31R in TWAN style. This is the best known spotting place in BUD, we called "patak" (watercourse or creek). The main lights are landing lights of airplanes. There are other airplane lights in the picture near the horizon. In the ground there are reflectors of cars. In the middle of circles the shortest strip is Polaris. The blue stars near the mid-horizon are stars of Big Dipper which is the best known formation in the northern sky, but this not constellation, it's only part of Ursa Maior. |

N649AS (cn 30663/1386) Wow! Northern lights and the Great Dipper!! This could be one of the ultimate window views that I could expect. Mother Nature surely does know how to pose for photographs. However, this is changing forever and could disappear suddenly as we are now traveling more than 700 km/h with 10 km off the ground. Definitely, this is a damn difficult image to capture where my passion for photography comes from. The red cast on the wing comes from the anti-collision light as I managed to synchronize my photo with it. |
