N314FE (cn 48312/442) Catching these beauties on the north complex is quite an anomaly here in PDX. Thanks to construction on 10R/28L the usable length has been reduced to a meager 5000 feet. Now, nearly every aircraft with jet engines is required to use the north side; much to the delight of local spotters! This luxury will only last though October unfortunately. Here, the afternoon Memphis flight departs against the picturesque Columbia River which forms the state line between Oregon and Washington State. |
