G-BOAC (cn 204) What a great way to test my new digital camera. The picture speaks for itself, as BA002 arrives from New York during her last week of Transatlantic operations.

Remark
Photographer
G-BOAC (cn 204) Ever had a chance to see the Concorde turning into the Runway 4L for take off with the beautiful Manhattan Skyline behinds? I do not want to crop the Chrysler Building as it is one of the symbols for Midtown Manhattan, which is now half blurred out by the heat exhaust. As I did not have a digital-SLR when this photograph was taken, film-SLR with 600mm prime lens could only achieve this perspective. This photograph was taken from the Bayswater Point State Park being located at the Mott Ave. and Jamaica Bay

G-BOAC (cn 204) My good-bye to a plane that I spend my childhood with. When I moved to London from Germany 8 years ago, when I was only 7 years old, she made me plane-mad, now I'm even more fascinated. I'm really gonna miss her. This shot was taken today at 10:33, Alpha Charlie is seen here, doing a very nice turn towards the Atlantic where she will speed up to 2 mach and then land in Cardiff. Thank you so much!

Remark
Photographer
G-BOAC (cn 204) Late afternoon arrival of Concorde as BA002. After she landed, several other airplanes had to perform a go-around due to a deflated tyre on G-BOAC, while the runway was being checked and cleaned for debris. Only when looking at the photo's at home, I found out that its RH front tyre on the right main landing gear was already deflated and deformed on approach! Looks like the new Michelin NZG tyre performed as advertised and did not blow catastrophically. Photo 1 of 4.

G-BOAC (cn 204) The sillouette shot I was looking for - News reports suggest emergency services were called out as a routine precaution after the tire pressure warning light came on in the cockpit of flight BA002 from New York while it was taxiing to the stand after arrival. Upon inspection the type was found to be flat.
