9H-AEH (cn 2122) The little Airbus, seen ahead of the mighty 744s of BA, (G-BNLI and G-BNLM), heads in a completely different direction to that of the runway! As can be seen by the other aircraft there's an obvious sidewind component today to deal with. The Air Malta has left behind an enormous wake as can be seen in the cloud behind it. Spectacular effect to capture and witness. |

1***** The Angels descend through the clouds directly above show center, causing an awesome effect that I can honestly say, didn't see developing through the viewfinder. [Canon 30D 500mm F/4 L IS] |

N185FK (cn 185-02513) Talkeetna Air Taxi dwarfed by Mt. Denali...otherwise known as Mt. McKinley. A landing on Ruth Glacier provided this natural background. The mountains peak is hidden by passing clouds. |

JA402J (cn 33749/1352) I went to the airport to see an IL62. But this 747 stole the show. Seems like he's flying right into the mouth of a cloud monster! |

PH-AOC / OC-503 (cn 703) My girlfriend said this shot reminded her of the "smoke monster" in the tv show Lost. This A330 is coming to terms with its own shadow in some nasty weather. The clouds almost appear to be dark smoke. |

SP-LDI (cn 17000073) Afternoon flight from Warsaw to Vienna, passing a heavy local rainshower a few minutes after take-off. Eventhough it was in the middle of the afternoon, the sky grew dark, and the sight of those breaking clouds was quite amazing to me. |
