054 BLUE Newest (the fourth) fifth-generation fighter came from Komsomolsk-on-Amur to take part in flight test program. Plane have some differences compared to previous prototypes. Most visible of all - there is no Pitot tube. What an experience was to feel turbulence wake after this bird passed over. New view for this plane. Sometimes we call it "Shovel", now you understand why [5d mkII + EF 24-105] |

N936UW (cn 27244/607) [Canon 5D Mark III + Canon EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 IS L USM] Air to Air Spotting in St. Maarten isn't that easy as in other airports. Here you have to deal with Straight-In Rwy.10 Approaches, Left or Right Downwinds Approaches Rwy.10, Rwy.28 Departures, Short-Field Take-Offs, All of them 1,500ft Below You, Constantly Maintaining Visual Separation with all traffic and being in a Cessna! Thanks to all the Crew of Air Traffic Controller in Juliana Control Tower for making this possible. |

OO-DLC (cn 152) Electrifying! Avoiding thunderstorms near Karlsruhe on our flight from Brussels to Athens. Dispite the turbulence, it produced a nice picture. (exposure time: 4 seconds, tripod used). Not sure how to call this: static discharges? Saint Elmo's fire? Arcing? Anyway, very interesting! |

HL7615 (cn 075) A shot that is normally not possible, as the visitor's terrace closes at 6pm, which is unfortunately before most of the 'heavies' leave. But thanks to their reopening festivities they had longer opening times for one weekend in march. I could not miss this chance, although it was really cold on that day. This picture shows the main attraction: Korean Air's A380. You can see the officers waving as well as the airport sightseeing bus stopping to have a good view on this huge bird. |

VH-EBQ (cn 1198) For me it's difficult to sleep during a flight.. So, instead I was stargazing and noticed the milky way band out of my window as we were passing Australia en route Auckland. Notice how the slats reflect off some stars. It's absolutely beautiful and I'm glad i didn't sleep! By the way this A332 frame is brand spanking new (manufactured in Feb. 2011)[Nikon D3s; Nikon 14-24mm f/2.8; ISO 12,800; 5-second exposure] |
