Hendon (closed)
UK - England, November 29, 2003
Remark
Photographer
701152 / NT-5L (cn 701152) The He 111 was probably not the most successful aircraft of the Luftwaffe's fleet, but it was certainly the prettiest.

Germany - Air Force
Heinkel He-111P-1
Oslo - Gardermoen (OSL / ENGM)
Norway, March 11, 2008
Remark
Photographer
1526 / 5J-CN (cn 1526) "Forsvarets Flysamling" One of only 3 preserved originally German built He-111 in the world. Thanks to the very nice personnel at the museum I was allowed to take a glimpse inside and I can assure you that this is no plane you'd voluntarily spend hours inside as it's freaking cramped. Nevertheless an absolute great experience of getting a very slight feeling of what is must have been like for the guys flying this plane some 70 years ago. [Nikon D200]

Heinkel He-111E-3
Madrid - Cuatro Vientos (LECU / LEVS)
Spain, August 29, 2010
Remark
Photographer
B2-82 / 25-82 (cn 2940) This was one of the early He 111 stepped-cockpit variants and was operated by Spain's Condor Legion in the 1938 Civil War. About 60 surviving He 111s joined the Spanish AF after this conflict, with another six during WW2. Of course Spain later went on to licence-build the type as the CASA 2.111 which served till as late as 1975, one example being preserved next to this Heinkel

Germany - Air Force
Heinkel He-111H-20
Hendon (closed)
UK - England, December 28, 2012
Remark
Photographer
701152 (cn 701152) This aircraft was built in 1944 as a paratroop transport although its precise service history in the Luftwaffe is unclear. At the end of the war it was earmarked for a private collection in the US but came close to being scrapped before the Air Historical Branch selected it for preservation. Some restoration work was carried out at St. Athan where she was allocated the RAF Maintenance Serial 8471M before arriving at the RAF Museum in 1978.
