N19904 (cn 1997) Howard Hughes's personal BBJ cockpit. He sat at these very controls and piloted this very plane. It was his private Stratoliner bought in 1939. This is the world's first BBJ and is revolutionary in design. Now she cruises the waterways of Ft.Lauderdale off the Isle of Venice thanks to the preservations efforts of Mr.David R. Drimmer. Excellent forward visibility. |

NC19903 (cn 2003) NC19903 poses for the camera over Mount Rainier, Washington, before delivery to Pan Am in 1940. This early pressurised airliner, of which only 10 were built, was then deployed on the airline's South American routes. TWA used theirs for transcontinental services. This aircraft is now preserved in the museum at IAD. Obtained from PAA 60 years ago. |

Whilst in San Francisco I was privileged enough to be invited on a 2 hour flight over San Francisco and the surrounds, on board a Cessna 172 (N6242F) Thanks to Tim (Diamond Aviation) and Todd (Tawny Aviation) from San Carlos Airport. Here we flew over San Francisco International Airport, and clearly seen are various airlines, including British Airways, Virgin America, Virgin Atlantic, United, American, US Airways, Air Canada, Air France and more. It was a perfect day for the flight too. Cheers guys. |
