CAAC
Boeing 747SP-J6
London - Gatwick (LGW / EGKK)
UK - England, May 1988
Remark
Photographer
B-2442 (cn 21932/433) Air China 937 from PEK is seen on a cold/wet foggy day approaching her hard stand. First flight was February 14, 1980. Delivery date was February 29, 1980 to CAAC. CAAC became Air China with aircraft going to them on July 1, 1988. Other serials - N135SW with UT Finance Corporation. Stored at MHV as N135SW during May 2002. No, she's not going to Southwest Airlines. But the thought... I could picture Southwest Airlines nonstop MDW-PEK!

Japan Airlines - JAL
Boeing 747-446
Los Angeles - International (LAX / KLAX)
USA - California, August 2, 2004
Remark
Photographer
JA8081 (cn 25064/851) I've seen the Space Shuttle take-off and I've seen plenty of topless women in SXM but nothing comes close to a 747 coming directly in your direction just a few hundred feet below you! This was really amazing. It's a real air-to-air picture, no discussions please!

Remark
Photographer
PH-BUI (cn 21111/276) KLM Flight 9165 from Amsterdam to Dubai, cruising at FL350, seen from 1000 ft above. Maybe the largest trails I've ever seen... This B747, named 'Wilbur Wright', will be replaced December this year by a 747-400ER freighter
