G-MEDA (cn 480) This A320 performed an emergency landing in BUD, with 108 passengers and 7 crew members on board. Due to engine problems they had to abort their flight to London and to land at the nearest airport. Note: the right engine is off, there is no heat behind it. Congratulations to the crew, it was a very nice and safe landing. About 20 fire-engines waited the aircraft at the end of the runway, but fortunately there was no need of them. |

Main landing gear doors can be seen open because of the loss of hydraulic pressure. The airplane overflew Arlanda Tower for an visual inspection before this landing. The landing was uneventful with only minor scratches on the landing gear doors. Nose gear steering was not functioning so the plane had to be towed off the runway to the parking position. |

1***** This Orion called in an emergency over Tucson and was vectored into Davis-Monthan ... It appears there was a lightning strike. Most of the nose cone was ripped apart and luckily did not hit the props. Aircraft landed safely. Not a whole lot of information is known about the mission these "blank" Orions carry out. They are supposedly run by the CIA for missions most likely classified as "unknown." Not even the "NAVY" titles or bureau number is labeled on these Orions ... Crazy. |

G-LSAC (cn 25488/471) This 757 gets towed over to the terminal after an emergency landing. From information I've been able to gather, the plane apparently suffered some type of hydraulic failure while operating a Leeds-Palma flight and diverted to Manchester. It arrived on Runway 06R and came to a halt near the end of the runway, smoke pouring from its main gear. It sat out on 06R for about 90 minutes while its brakes cooled. MAN operations were closed for a short period; 6R was closed for several hours. |

Sources indicate: 45 minutes out of Sydney a loud cracking and banging sound was audible from the roof area of aircraft with dust being emitted. The area in question was the sliver strip notable on the fuselage of the aircraft. A fear of structural failure was noted and the aircraft was turned around with emergency procedures being initiated for its landing back in Sydney. |

G-BYAW (cn 27234/663) Far from an ordinary touchdown - this aircraft suffered a major engine 'incident' on take off, with the ingestion of two large birds, resulting in large bangs and flames from the No. 2 (right) engine. The 757 slowly climbed away on the remaining engine and, some time later, after burning enough fuel to land safely (though heavy, as seen from the smoky touchdown), arrived back on 06R to a full 'mayday' emergency. We witnessed true professionalism from flight crew, ATC Officers and MAN fire services. |

N877GA (cn 53467/2102) I am pretty sure those people are in brace positions. The pilots did an excellent job landing. Note the main doors have not locked in. |

G-FCLC (cn 28166/756) Landing on runway 23L under full emergency conditions. The aircraft suffered a hydraulic failure due to a leak on the port side of the aircraft, which meant a landing with amongst other things no nose wheel steering. The aircraft landed safely and a tug was dispatched to tow it back to stand. |

SP-LKD (cn 27419/2401) Engine trouble with 60 passengers onboard and an emergency landing. During landing the aircraft hit the ground. The fuel leaked and caught fire... that's the scenario of the airport emergency excercise. LOT's SP-LKD was used as the 'patient' for this operation. |
