N656US (cn 26847/486) WOW!!! I was taking some pictures at the end of Rwy 24 when this US Airways n/c came over shooting flames and making loud bangs. I counted 8 of them, and lucky for me, at least 3 times I got the fire on the photo with the result like this. Those people inside must have been shocked really hard with all those flames and bangs! btw: I like their new paintjob! [Camera: EOS 300D Lens: Canon 90-300mm] |

N***** Interesting shot from the Checker-board Hill. Firstly the UA's B744 was banking tight towards the buildings!!! Besides that you can find crowds of photographers shooting this aircraft from another angle. Just move your sight down from the front landing gear until the purple/white building. Then you can see them leaning against the upper balconies of the famous building, where you can get the landing shots of IGS approach Rwy 13. |

N219UA (cn 30551/318) This is something I've never seen before. Two UA 777's were instructed to position and hold on both 28L and 28R simultaneously. I was hoping they'd drag race down the runway :) But N219UA on 28L was cleared first and N206UA on 28R about 3 minutes later. I got an email from Keith, the ATC on duty at that time. He said that the basic rule at SFO is to never load both runways simultaneously. But both 777's were ready to go and there was no aircraft on final so he could load both runways. |

9V-SVC (cn 28526/355) Continuing the flight back to SIN as SQ17, originating from YVR with a brief stop in ICN. Seen here is SQ's famous Spacebed-equipped Raffles Class. This particular flight was full, with 288 pax and 2+11 crew. It is estimated that we will burn 41,300lbs of fuel for this ICN-SIN sector. Note the Christmas decorations on the side walls. |
