G-AELO (cn 8105) This classic, built in 1936, is seen landing at the 2005 de Havilland Moth Club meeting. Here it looks more like a model aircraft than a full-sized one.

Untitled
De Havilland DH-87B Hornet Moth
Off-Airport - Woburn Abbey
UK - England, August 16, 2014
Remark
Photographer
G-AELO (cn 8105) The prototype Hornet Moth first flew in May 1934 making this year the 80th anniversary. I was asked to set this photograph up on the lawn of Woburn Abbey with the permission of the Duke of Bedford. It has eleven of the twelve airworthy examples on the UK register present. It is in tribute to the Flying Duchess, Mary Russell, Duchess of Bedford who disappeared in her aircraft in March 1937, aged 71 years

Remark
Photographer
IN312 / ARK (cn 7609686) Two baby busses hold behind cautiously behind as mama "Bear" holds short of Runway 27. This was definitely the one of the best moments of my life with the deafening drone of the NK-12s creating a symphony like none other. Enough said, enjoy the shot.
