As we had a light snow in early morning, fresh snow on the ground was distracted by the strong jet blast created by four CF6-80C2B1Fs. As I realized that this location makes me backlit, I truly hope that it could make the image focused on the grace of flight and majesty of 747, which I think it works for me at least. Simple background helps this scene to be more impressive in my opinion. |

As we have a sunset sometimes around 4pm today, low winter sun starts illuminating the fuselage nicely. Snowy mountains behind always give us an awesome backdrop. As I saw this aircraft many times in Osaka as a passenger configuration, it is nice to see this still flying for the same company even after a cargo conversion. Classic 747s are getting harder to find these days especially if we want to travel with them |

B-18210 (cn 33734/1353) 'Dream Liner' 747 is flying over the Sepulveda Blvd for landing Runway 24R to complete another transpacific crossing as CAL006. I have to confess that I had not so much expected until this visit that LAX still provides us great photo opportunities with many locations. Especially, this Santa Monica approach is very convenient as we are usually able to identify the aircraft from the far distance, which enable us to think how we could capture it. It was truly one lovely winter day which I will never forget. |

As someone had mentioned earlier, I have to agree that this brand new aircraft could be the largest mirror in the world which reflects everything in the surroundings. As this image depicts the forward close-up, it shows well the power of flight and majesty of 747. Whenever I can see the frostbite on my finger, it reminds me this beautiful moment. Winter photography is one of my favorite! |

B-16411 (cn 29111/1151) Is taking off from Runway 25 Right at Los Angeles heading for Taipei as EVA011. At the end of a beautiful winter day in So-Cal, the Mother Nature brought us a wonderful atmosphere with an orange hue. It was truly a priceless gift for those who hang around later than usual in a cold weather. Surprisingly, as this turned out to be my first visit after the Imperial Hill has been renovated, it was absolutely a beautiful day to find many fascinated locations around the airport. |
