Qantas (Airbus)
Airbus A380-841
Sydney - Kingsford Smith International (Mascot) (SYD / YSSY)
Australia - New South Wales, November 14, 2005
Remark
Photographer
F-WWOW (cn 001) "Airbus 104" departing for Melbourne. Rumour has it that the UPS MD-11 that is visible in the background taxied down Alpha just to see the A380 departing - after it left they did notify ATC that they needed to return to the cargo apron, without citing a reason - however that seems highly unlikely. USA - Navy
Boeing F/A-18F Super Hornet
Virginia Beach - Oceana NAS / Apollo Soucek Field (NTU / KNTU)
USA - Virginia, September 25, 2004
Remark
Photographer
166611 / AA-320 (cn F104) The Super Hornet approaches the sound barrier. Due to the high humidity at Oceana the effect of the Prantl-Glauert cloud becomes clearly visible. This is a shockwave where the section with the clowd has low pressure, the above section is of high air pressure.

USA - Air Force
Boeing E-3A Sentry (707-300)
In Flight
Iceland, May 3, 1979
Remark
Photographer
76-1605 (cn 21435/924) Taken atop a barrel roll of F-4E, 66-0323 above this formation of Boeing E-3A, 76-1605, F-4Es, 66-0330 and 66-0382. This photograph was a well kept secret for some years, as the pilot specifically asked that it not be shown to USAF officials, because one was not supposed to roll around the E-3A! The snow on the ground makes the airplanes difficult to spot, but it is something not likely to be done again.

St. Maarten, October 28, 2001
Remark
Photographer
F-BPVY (cn 21745/370) Yeah, he is REAL low! If Air France had names for their aircraft like Pan Am did, we could call this one "Clipper of the Fence".
