Approaching on final of Rwy24 on a windy day. You can find the Observation Hall - the only spotting point at KIX which locates on the right side of the hangar of Japan Coast Guard. |

JA**** ... close fly-by photo from ANA 767 on the return flight from PEK. It gives a great overview of the typical Kansai features: the curved mile-long terminal building and the bridge to Osaka. In front the construction work on the airport's extention, scheduled to open in 2007. |

ANA B747 JA8190 is preparing for another trip - presumably to be bound for London Heathrow at the end of north wing at Kansai International Airport. Korean Air B747-400, United Airlines B747-200B, Royal Brunei B767-300ER, British Airways B747-400, and Malaysia Airlines A330-300 parked together in a calm summer morning. Due to the artificial island, it is rather hard to get the unique view. This photograph was taken the moment after we took off from runway 06 heading for Shonai (SHJ/RJSY) as ANA799 (A320-211; JA8388). |

A man with the carrying baggage is checking the information board on the international departure lobby at Kansai International Airport. Every time when I use/visit that airport, I truly appreciate to Renzo Piano Building Workshop, architect who created such a wonderful construct not only functional but also absolutely beautiful. As already known, a “wave-shaped” main building is located in an artificial island with 1.7km long. I was told that the roof is made by 82,000 identical panels of stainless steel. |

This is a passenger view of Kansai International Airport when he/she is on board. Long terminal building is continuing forever toward the horizon :) This shot was taken at the gate No. 22 when I was about to depart for Ishigaki (ISG). The shining glasses of the main building reflect the parking airplanes beautifully. I wish I could get more variety of airliner next time. |
