N656US (cn 26847/486) WOW!!! I was taking some pictures at the end of Rwy 24 when this US Airways n/c came over shooting flames and making loud bangs. I counted 8 of them, and lucky for me, at least 3 times I got the fire on the photo with the result like this. Those people inside must have been shocked really hard with all those flames and bangs! btw: I like their new paintjob! [Camera: EOS 300D Lens: Canon 90-300mm] |

N84NA (cn 47837/328) "Clipper Glory of the Skies". Condensation fills all three engine inlets at liftoff from runway 12. No.1 engine is reflected in the lower fuselage portion and the captain is visible in the early morning sunlight. |

16**** The story as I heard it - Center Tank Ruptured, Pilot ejected safely, Aircraft lost. Update, I have been also told that the center tank fuel cap was not properly secured ... same outcome... |

166611 / AA-320 (cn F104) The Super Hornet approaches the sound barrier. Due to the high humidity at Oceana the effect of the Prantl-Glauert cloud becomes clearly visible. This is a shockwave where the section with the clowd has low pressure, the above section is of high air pressure. |

N46625 (cn 27529/2683) A dull afternoon at work is livened up with a corporate barbecue. Captains log to maintenance: engine 1 running hot, please check. Joking aside, you can be sure the pros at Co will only allow this aircraft back into service once its fully repaired. |

G-ATMJ (cn 1593) This was doing a ground run when the starboard engine hiccoughed and caught fire. The Airport Fire Service were there within minutes and thanks to them, the aircraft was able to be rebuilt. |
