VT-AIM (cn 25074/862) Have you heard the old saying "Suffering For Your Art"? Well I did just that. While running to get this shot I hit my little toe really hard on the walkway curb in the lower left hand corner of this shot. ( I was wearing flip flops at the time, feet exposed) A huge wave of pain gripped me, nevertheless I made it over in time to get this palm tree framed shot. The next day the whole toe was black and blue and stayed that way for some time. Yes, a shot I will never forget! |

LAX Monuments. Starting from the foreground is the easily recognized theme building, housing the Encounter Restaurant. Next is the sleek, modern tower. Behind that, you have part of the TBIT visible. Beyond is the American Airlines maintenance hangar and finally, the Pacific Ocean completes the horizon. Glorious morning atop the roof! [Canon 20D] |

G-VEIL (cn 575) One good thing I can say about our winter so far this year (from a photographer standpoint) is that we have had little rain, and beautiful clear skies with warm daytime temperatures. That's a great recipe for shots like the one above. This shot was taken on the other side of the hedge (south) from the small park, where Sepulveda Blvd. intersects with Lincoln Blvd. Wow, there's nothing better than having one of these babies pass over you at 200ft above! She kind of reminds me of a DC-8-73 from this angle. |

G-VSHY (cn 383) Nothing SHY about this long bird making a landing at LAX. I was sitting under the approach lights with my girlfriend and told her after the next heavy we would leave (thinking I would have plenty of time). Little did I know the next aircraft would be a heavy A340-600 with huge red engines! |

G-VEIL (cn 575) VS007 from LHR is on approach to LAX. Downtown LA can be seen, in amongst the smog! This was my first flight on the A340-600, it was pretty good all round. Canon 10D + Canon EF 17-40L USM. |

G-VTOP (cn 28194/1100) Now here's what I've been dreaming for months... maybe even years! We both departed USA's sunshine state and met up over the atlantic ocean. We played like hide-and-seek on nearly 40'000 feet up in the clear night skies. And just as Virgin 16 changed course to London, while we continued to Zurich this dreamy sight came true |

G-VAST (cn 28757/1117) Great shot of this beautiful cockpit. She is having an A-check in the hangar. Note, as the mechanics are working on certain items on the wing (etc), there are warning stickers so that they are not used (as mechanics might then get injured). PHKCB can been seen through the window. [EF10-22mm] |
