Japan Airlines - JAL
Boeing 747-346
In Flight
USA - Hawaii, July 13, 2009
Remark
Photographer
JA812J (cn 23067/588) With its four PW JT9Ds roaring in perfect harmony, our B747-300 effortlessly lifts off from Honolulu International Airport, as it makes the turn toward Tokyo-Narita as JO73. This photo was taken about two weeks prior to the retirement of Japan Airlines' B747 classic fleet, and JA812J also had the honor of performing the last flight (which was also JO73, HNL-NRT). Glad I was able to get on those JAL classics once again, for my final time. After February 2011, all of JAL’s B747-400s will also be retired. Sad times indeed. Seen below is the crystal clear ocean, the city of Honolulu, and Diamond Head; yet another great day in Hawaii Nei!

JetBlue Airways
Airbus A320-232
Philipsburg / St. Maarten - Princess Juliana (SXM / TNCM)
St. Maarten, November 18, 2010
Remark
Photographer
N***JB We departed RWY 10 at SXM, turned South then circled around the island counter clockwise. On the far left of the frame you can see Princess Juliana airport and Maho Beach, the runway is just above that first crescent bay which is Simpson Bay I believe. On the right of the frame you can see three cruise ships located in the cruise port.

Remark
Photographer
N415UA (cn 475) When you fly, LAX-DEN, there is generally a good opportunity to photograph LAX from up above, as you fly directly over the airport. Looks like the FedEx ramp is busy, preparing for the evening freight and parcel runs....I can spot 12 FedEx frame on the ground [Nikon D3]
