B-2070 (cn 32703/472) As CS327 crosses Lincoln Blvd. just seconds from TD on 24R, it brings to conclusion another day of enjoyable shooting. When I first arrived at LAX about 13:00 PDT, there was not a cloud in the sky, but as the afternoon wore on things began to change. Some of the most fantastic cloud formation I have ever seen dazzled me throughout the afternoon, end up with this shot taken at 19:41, a few minutes before sunset. This is what makes life O so worth livening! |

N332NW (cn 319) An Ops vehicle on the 25L caused the plane infront (USAir) to go around and instead of NW going around as well, we've opted to sidestep the inside runway: 25R. 3 minutes exposure gives a nice effect as 2 aircraft used the RWY in this mean time. After the B737 landed a general aviation aircraft received the clearance to line up and take off. you can note that just after liftoff the lights were turned off and you can see the aircraft turning left to avoid Sugar Loaf. In the background is the "Fiscal Island". |

Quite a unique situation. The tower told us that rwy 19 had some bad weather but that rwy 01 was quite okay. We thought that if rwy 01 was okay, the other side will also be good. We came from the south and first made a localizer approach on 19. During the missed approach we saw what the controller ment! Impossible to get in on rwy 19 and an easy visual on rwy 01. The tower is completely obscured on the right side of the picture. |
