Malaysia Airlines
Boeing 777-2H6/ER
Zurich (- Kloten) (ZRH / LSZH)
Switzerland, October 2, 2005
Remark
Photographer
9M-MRD (cn 28411/84) Man o man, nailed her!! Got myself soaking wet again for this one, but it was definitely well worth it! Difficult light conditions and all the rain coming down made this one quite hard to get. Details are there, though, just check out the main gear and all the water that gets blown around it. I just now noticed that the Malaysia decal is again shown on the outer side of the engine, while the "RR" sign is on the inside.

Remark
Photographer
PH-BFA / FA-001 (cn 23999/725) Although KLM's 744 will probably become a regular sight at YUL this summer, it's always nice to see one apply reverse thrust on a soaking wet runway. "City of Atlanta" arriving from Amsterdam.

All Nippon Airways - ANA
Boeing 767-381
Osaka - Itami International (ITM / RJOO)
Japan, February 26, 2006
Remark
Photographer
JA8272 (cn 24003/212) Is rolling down runway 32L for take-off at Osaka Itami in a torrential downpour. When the Captain applied for a full throttle, lots of water on the pavement is kicked up by the jet blasts. Some interesting water streams can be seen the moment after the left main gear hit a pool. Despite the fact that I was drenched and my equipment has all got wet, I was still fascinated to keep continuing this mission. I am sorry in advance if these perspectives are getting common here while I was gone to Japan.
