N1826U (cn 46625/169) "Employee One". Seen in World Airways colors on lease from United Airlines. Also flew with Leisure Air. First flight was August 7, 1974. Delivery date was February 27, 1975. Built as DC-10-10, cvt'd to DC-10-10(F) freighter, and again cvt'd to MD-10-10F freighter. To FedEx as N391FE named "Chandra". Sadly, W/O July 28, 2006 at MEM with FedEx as N391FE. On landing roll out the left mlg collapsed, aircraft rolled left off runway, a fire ignited under left engine and spread to inner wing. No fatalities. |
