How do you handle 35+ charter flights when you have only 7 gate positions? Simple, you unload passengers as fast as possible, and cramp the aircraft at all available ramps as tight as possible! Eindhoven hosted the UEFA Cup Final [FC Sevilla – Middlesborough: 4-0] resulting in many additional flights, mainly from Spain. Great weather and good atmosphere permitted this nice airport overview, a sight that will not be seen again with no less than 29 aircraft visable in this photo. |

This 2355-by-100-foot runway is a very popular destination for pilots around Florida. It gives you beautiful scenery and a short field to work with. It comes with its risks seeing as many planes each year end up in the drink.The "taxiway" next to the runway is actually a public road and isn't ment to be used for aircraft operations, however there was a long line along the road for departure. Where it all began, Kill Devil Hills. The monument, dedicated to the Wright Brothers stands tall above all else around. The grey path at the top of the photo is the path of the first powered flight. To the right on the dirt path are replicas of the Wright Brother's hangar. If you follow the dirt path a little further you will find the musuem. The airport provides a great place for pilots to fly. Nice overview of Shimojishima Airport (SHI). This shot was taken enroute from Kansai to Ishigaki (ISG) by JTA85 (B737-446, JA8993). Now you can see the beautiful coral reef locates in that airport. If you look closely, there is a B767 holding at the end of the runway preparing for take off. Moreover, there are two "holes (ponds)" (55 and 75 m in diameter) in the very left end of the island called "To-ri-ike," that connect through an ocean 50 m below the sea level. It is an exciting spot for scuba diving. |

Flying in the mountains gave me a ton of photo oppertunities. This is possibly the coolest, located at the top of a mountain near Asheville the airport elevation is 4,400 feet and the tallest part of the mountain was 6,000 feet. You need permission to land there but it looks like there is a nice resort and golf course next to it. Notice the vibrant colours of the leaves as they start to turn. |
