F-GLZR (cn 307) AF489 leaving for Paris. The new terminal building takes shape whilst land reclamation is underway in Simpson Bay Lagoon for the runway extension. This is all part of Phase II of the SXM improvement plan. Also note the rough seas in Simpson Bay (to the left), the result of hurricane Wilma passing way out to the West - waves nearly reaching the airport fence! |
