VH-OEJ (cn 32914/1331) Unusual view of one of the most photographed aeroplanes in the world! Wunala Dreaming happened to be sitting at the Runway 16 holding point waiting for us as we came in on Qantas' DC3 VH-AES after celebrating the 60th anniversary of the first TAA service. |

VH-OEJ (cn 32914/1331) It was a lovely late fall morning and what a treat it was to see Wunala Dreaming roll out right in front of us. Manas Barooah was down from the Bay Area taking advantage of the long Thanksgiving holiday weekend. He was staying with friends in city about five minutes from my home, so carpooling down to LAX was in order. Needless to say we had a wonderful time that day, and got quite a few good shots. That's what our hobby is all about, meeting and making new friends, and I have met quite a few. (D30) |

VH-OEJ (cn 32914/1331) "Wunala Dreaming" has the honor of making the inaugural flight to SFO for Qantas after an 11 year absence. Water cannons saluting QF 73 as it taxis up to Gate A4 (the wing walker must be drenched!). Note John Travolta's 707 V-Jet in the background. |

VH-OEJ (cn 32914/1331) A ceremony to remember! Qantas flight 73 is getting water canon salute as the inaugural service flight into SFO with nonstop service from SYD. Prior to this aircrafts arrival, Mr. John Travolta flew in with his 707 fittingly painted up in Qantas' older livery, while Qantas sent in Wanula Dreaming for the first day of service. If you look hard enough under the fuse of the 747, you'll see Travolta's aircraft in the background. The celebration was fun, and I wish Qantas the best in SFO! |

VH-OEJ (cn 32914/1331) Beautifull airplane right after getting airborne in LAX. Too bad they didn't paint as well the engine red like the first Wunala. |
