G-PSIC / 325147/HO-W (cn 103-26778) After spending 1960-75 in Tel Aviv, this Mustang was restored and flown as Don Gentile's "Shangri La" (N51PR) from 1981, racing at Reno. She was later painted in an all-red "The Believer" scheme and continued racing in Reno. She has flown since arriving at Duxford, but is now undergoing a complete rebuild to return the aircraft to the authentic state it would have had in wartime service. USAAF reg 43-25147. |
