HS-AXE (cn 193C-1097) When I arrived at the airport for my flight to SIN, I was really excited to see this movement on the arrivals / departure board. However, when utilising such old equipment, one must be careful of reliability issues. She was scheduled in at 0900 and out at 1000. What actually happened was she arrived at 1020, was retimed for 1100 and ended up going technical, which nearly caused a riot for the waiting pax! She was still there when I left at 1400! N10114 (cn 193L-1079) The TriStars sold to California's one time favourite airline, PSA, were unique in having passenger accomodation in the lower deck where cargo/baggage normally goes, hence the FAA required mods you can see behind the nosewheel doors. Plenty of great colour photos of the Psychedelic Red and Pink scheme on this site or you can rest your eyes with this monochrome shot. |

3D-NEG / ZN39-783EG (cn 193B-1066) An Airliners.net exclusive! As I was headed across the field, I stumbled upon a movie set. Apparently NBC is making a drama pilot about an airport starring Heather Locklear. This plane in fictitious livery and registration number is just a prop. Rumor has it that the working title of the show is "LAX". Check out all the crew members and equipment around the plane. Normally, I only take shots of SWA aircraft, but since this is a fake airline and a rare opportunity, I couldn't resist. |
