B-6050 (cn 468) I made a wish before the flight that day, hoping to see a A346 under our Cessna, and my luck didn't let me down. She took off late at 250pm, held under us about 1200 feet before enter the ocean. We were flying the LAX corridor at 3500 feet. Chances are so small to hit one of the heavy takeoff right under. Sorry about the quality, as it is incrediblely hard to shoot because of the movements and strong winds. Thanks to Duncan and Derek, this shot is for you guys, and hope many more A2A shoots to come in years! [Nikon D100] |

B-6050 (cn 468) Check out the fine detail in this LARGE shot. (1576X1040) It really gives you a good idea of just how intricate this A340-600 really is. The area surrounding the landing gear is particularly interesting, especially as she lifts off from LAX's longest runway 25R. It's length is 12091 X 150 Ft. that's 3685 X 46 M. Soon work will begin on the runways and taxiways to accommodate the NEW A380, scheduled to arrive in late 2006. |

B-6055 (cn 586) Wow, would you believe that not more than two minutes before this shot was taken the sun was behind some clouds. When she first came on frequency and departed the Santa Monica VOR on downwind, there was no way I would have thought the sun would have ever made an appearance. But she had a long downwind (21 miles) and consequently a long final. In total 13 minutes from passing a beam the tower to TD. Just enough time for everything to clear up. Thanks to Elizabeth for help with obtaining B-6055's schedule. |

B-6052 (cn 514) Nearly 8 hours late, this A340-600 gracefully lands on Runway 24R. This is the exact photo I have been dreaming about taking ever since the aircraft type was introduced on this route! For us spotters, delays can sometimes be good things...[Canon 10D] |
