CCCP-77102 / 451 (cn 01-2) Not a great photo, but especially interesting. The day before it's crash, the TU-144 performs the identical maneuver that it failed to survive on its next attempt. Otherwise making for a poor shot, the picture has a horizontal and vertical reference clearly showing the extremely severe attitude of the aircraft. It flew from left to right at slow speed, then pitched up steeply and banked left. The next day, at the apogee of this maneuver, it suffered reverse airflow, stalled and broke up. |

CCCP-77102 / 451 (cn 01-2) Not great quality, but evocative, taken the day before its fatal crash. Concorde cruises up and away, leaving Charger to its fate. |

CCCP-77102 / 451 (cn 01-2) Taking off for its display during which it crashed. During its display going straight up, and on top going in a dive to regain speed. When it pulled up a large white piece (wing) came off on the right side and the TU-144 crashed. |

CCCP-77102 / 451 (cn 01-2) At the Paris Air Show, retracting its wheels on its last take-off with the foreplanes fully extended. A few minutes later the aircraft crashed in Goussainville after taking avoiding action for a Mirage. In the resulting dive a filming cameraman fell on the controls, and then the forces needed to recover from the resulting dive were too strong and caused the aircraft to break-up. The 6 people on board died. |
