VH-EWA (cn 11195) Built 1983; parked on the International Apron getting a wash. This is how much we love our airliners here in Australia, we hire people to actually hand wash aircraft! This particular aircraft was the first F-28-4000 to commence operations here in Australia and was introduced into service by East West Airlines in 1983. The sad end to this story is that poor VH-EWA was withdrawn from service in March 2001 and is awaiting its ultimate fate, be that what it may. |

VH-EWA (cn 11195) Built 1983; taxiing to the terminal at one of the most scenic airports in Australia! This aircraft was the first F-28 delivered to Australia and was operated originally by East West Airlines. However there is a sad end to this story, in March 2001 the aircraft was withdrawn from use thus ending the career of Australia's oldest F-28. The aircraft is now parked in Brisbane awaiting its fate. |
