62-6000 (cn 18461/303) This highly distinguished presidential aircraft served Kennedy, Johnson, Nixon, Ford, Carter, Reagan and George H. W. Bush. It was the first jet to use the call sign “Air Force One” when the president was aboard and the first to wear the blue and white presidential paint scheme. President Kennedy flew to Dallas, TX on 62-6000 on 11/22/63 just prior to his assassination. On the same day LBJ was sworn-in on 62-6000 and it then carried him and President Kennedy’s body back to D.C. [Canon 300D + 18-55mm EF-S] |
