VH-EAD (cn 19624/689) "City of Newcastle" was delivered to Qantas 23/03/68 and is seen leaving terminal two. The strange object in the bottom right corner of the photo could be a passenger airbridge operator trainer. It looks as if there is vertical adjustment for different heights. Thanks to Andy Kennaugh for your comments. |

A20-624 (cn 19624/689) Looking extremely shiny, this 707 was obtained from Qantas in 3.79 and was the last to be retired by the RAAF in a celebration on 30.6.08. A week later it was towed to the 33 Sqdn hangar at Richmond and parked with the other withdrawn 707s. See my 1972 shot as VH-EAD also on A.net |

A20-624 (cn 19624/689) Window View (over Stbd wing) of RAAF 33 Sqn Boeing 707-338C Tanker A20-624, after take-off from Hickam AFB, Hawaii on 13Jun1994. The B707 was heading for Nadi Fiji (a 6.0 hour trip.) The Military Airfield below is NAS Barbers Point. There are 18 P-3 Orions on the concrete apron at center-left, and 18 more near the top of the photo. This base had more Orions than the entire RAAF P-3 fleet. Helicopters are also visible at left, as well as two C-130 Hercules near the shoreline. Low res photo. |

A20-624 (cn 19624/689) Farewell to the B707 for RAAF, this being a farewell salute to Sydney over Sydney Harbour, the aircraft is also wearing a farewell scheme and is being flanked by a RAAF Hawk(I think), which I assume is being used for some aerial photography. |
