Untitled
Grand 51 Mustang
Fargo - Hector International (FAR / KFAR)
USA - North Dakota, December 29, 2012
Remark
Photographer
N2650N (cn 2002) This is the sole example of a Grand 51 Mustang (not to be confused with a Cameron P-51G). It was designed as a high speed "transport" for adventurous businessmen, but only one was ever built. An original Mustang fuselage was used, but it is powered by a Lycoming T53 engine. I have spent the last three years trying to capture it in some sunlight, but it rarely leave its hangar. It was recently sold and is seen here awaiting its turn in the maintenance hangar. I can't wait to see it flying!!
